Mine looks something like this:
Step 1: Rough sketch
Step 2: Computer File
Step 3: Decide what I’m going to do…and do it!

I work a “superhero” know as “Batman” who is collecting tin cans for an art project.
He had this very unattractive sign hanging over a box for his can collection. That sad sign was making me sad…so I had to make him a new one.

I locked myself in my studio a few months back and created this 2-page spread to be used for a Klic-N-Kut Advertisement in Creative Keepsakes magazine. I designed all the files, delicately linked each piece and even stitched veins into each and every one of those sweet little leaves. Due to “staff changes” at CK Magazine…there was a mix-up and they used a previously published was used. Well, I will never get that weekend back but here is the AD that never was.
You know what’s so great about this month’s Scrap N Go Class??? Not only will you leave with 4 super cute cards for just $18, but they will be finished – inside and out! And of course we will include the envelopes!!!
My partner, Jamie and I have a deal….I do the guts of our projects and she embellishes (she’s so good at that!). So here you go… presenting OWL GUTS!
Don’t be scared…there is still room in the class and time to sign-up! If Halloween isn’t your thing…we will also have a Christmas card option!
NEXT Scrap-N-Go class is scheduled for Thursday 10/20 6:30 to 8:30PM and Friday 10/21 10:30 to 12:3oPM. CLASS PROJECT: 4 Pop-Up Cards…only $18 and IF you sign-up on-line (links above) you will save 10%!
Check out my cards featured in the ZING advertisement on page 62 of the current issue of Paper Crafts Magazine!
Confession Time…I only use my Klic-N-Kut Maxx to cut paper and cardstock. It’s the industry I work in and all I that need. Don’t get me wrong…I admire and appreciate all the clever amazing things that the other Team KNK Design Team members create, but I’m just a simple paper girl!
With that…I am at no loss in finding new creative things to do with my KNK. This month my Team KNK submission is a clean 12 x 12 scrapbook layout featuring a large shape (peace sign) and die cut title {my signature style}. I love this urban-artistic photo and felt a peace sign and cute font would compliment it nicely. Once I laid out my page I felt it could use more dimension, so I topped the peace sign with 50+ buttons. This task would have been nearly impossible if I didn’t have the peace sign template to guide me. My subject is further enhanced by the die cut “Chick” font. The tiny flowers fit right in to the letters and some are topped with 3mm brads for dimension. I added some texture to the page with purchased layered flowers, tulle, pom poms and more buttons.
